Drums

Matt has been playing and studying music for 18 years. In early 2001 he began his studies with the trumpet until 2004 when he bought his first drum set. Matt was self-taught on drums until 2008 when he began studying with jazz greats Bob Gullotti and Matt Wilson. In 2010 he attended the University of Massachusetts Amherst to receive a BM in Jazz & African American music. Currently, Matt is playing with the nationally touring act, Bella’s Bartok. They have taken him all over the country and has shared the stage with acts such as The Indigo Girls, TOO MANY ZOOZ, Rubblebucket, The Suitcase Junket, Red Baraat, and many more. He’s been teaching students on and off for the past 6 years.
