Lesson Rate Update – Effective November 1st, 2025

Hello everyone,

I want to thank you for being part of Descant Music. Teaching and making music with this community is something I take a lot of pride in, and I appreciate the support you’ve given to keep this studio growing.

As you know, the cost of living has gone up significantly over the past few years. I’ve held off on raising lesson rates as long as I possibly could, but in order to keep Descant Music sustainable, I need to make a small adjustment.

October invoices have already gone out at the original rates. The updated pricing will begin with November’s invoices on November 1st, 2025.

New Lesson Rates

​

30-minute lesson (once per week): $30 per lesson

• $120 per month (4-week month)

• $150 per month (5-week month)

1-hour lesson (once per week, or two half-hours per week): $54 per lesson (the second half hour is 20% off)

• $216 per month (4-week month)

• $270 per month (5-week month)

Why the Change?

This increase is as minimal as possible while allowing me to:

• Cover rising costs

• Continue providing high-quality lessons and materials

• Ensure that our teachers receive well-deserved raises for the time and dedication they put into every student
