Terms and Conditions for Students and Parents

Tuition Rates:

​

• 30-minute lesson (once per week): $30 per lesson

  • $120 per month (4-week month)

  • $150 per month (5-week month)

• 1-hour lesson (once per week, or two half-hours per week): $54 per lesson (the second half hour is 20% off)

  • $216 per month (4-week month)

  • $270 per month (5-week month)

Payment Information:

​

• Monthly tuition is due in advance for the upcoming month and is payable on the 1st of each month.

• If you have any issues with timely payment, please call, text, or email us. Communication is crucial!

• An invoice will be emailed to you about a week before the due date. Payment can be made online via credit card or at the studio with cash, card, or check.

Holiday Schedule:

 

Descant Music will be closed on the following holidays:

• Halloween

• Thanksgiving

• Christmas Eve

• Christmas

• New Year's Eve

• New Year's Day

​

If your lesson falls on one of these holidays, you will not be charged, and your invoice will be adjusted accordingly.

Missed or Canceled Lessons:

​

• Same-day cancellations or no-call/no-shows: These lessons will not be rescheduled, as the teacher is already paid for that time.

• Advance notice (at least 24 hours): If you notify us at least 24 hours before your lesson, we will attempt to reschedule. If no suitable times are available, the next month’s invoice will be prorated to reflect the missed lesson. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice are treated as same-day cancellations.

• Prepaid lessons: Tuition already paid is nonrefundable. If lessons are discontinued mid-month, any unused lessons remain available to you until the end of that month.

• Vacation notice: Inform us ahead of time about any vacations. We can try to reschedule or adjust that month’s invoice.

• Instructor absence: If your instructor is absent, an alternative instructor will be provided, or the lesson will be rescheduled. We will inform you of any changes as soon as possible. If no suitable times are available, the next month’s invoice will be prorated to reflect the missed lesson.

Lesson Discontinuation:

​

• Please provide as much notice as possible if you need to terminate lessons.

• Lessons that have been paid for cannot be refunded.

• After two weeks of no-call/no-shows, your scheduled lesson time will be made available to other students.
